For this section, I’m going to refer mainly to snippets of information found on various sites I’ve researched as this is a highly medical area and tends to involve discussions of research studies conducted, which I dont want to paraphrase. I will link out to the sources of each section highlighted below, however, the general idea here is that that researchers are starting to understand the correlation between Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac, and have learned that someone with Celiac is at least 20 times more likely to have Type 1 Diabetes than the general population.
