I’m a mom, wife, friend, entrepreneur, volunteer, lover of animals and I used to take life WAY too seriously. I was seriously career driven, and didn’t believe in stopping to enjoy the simple things in life. I defined happiness by my success.
By the time I hit 30, my body simply shut down.
So there I was, no career, and a whole heap of health issues that had me in a complete state of confusion, pain and desperation. Doctors finally figured out I have several food allergies and an auto-immune disorder, and I quickly realized how overwhelming the process of researching my conditions was. My life was changing in some serious ways, and I was going to need to start making sense of all the different opinions I was coming across from my research.
Stop, breathe and start again.
I learned to prep our week’s meals ahead of time, I’ve read countless labels, checking with restaurants before we showed up to make sure they accommodate me and scoured the web for safe food options whenever I travel. But my health and wellness finally came first.
And I met some really great people along the way. So, without being much of a foodie, I launched a blog to share recipes, health tips and product reviews, top restaurants for allergen-free dining and more.
I live a gluten-free, mostly Paleo life. I work out often. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I cook – sometimes better than others. And I love my life.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
